Terms of Use

1. Who I am

AI Job Copilot is published by Dmytro Svarytsevych, a natural person resident in Poland (the "publisher", "I", or "me"), as a non-registered personal project (nierejestrowana działalność). Contact: job.copilot@svarytsevych.com.

2. What it is

A Chrome extension that helps you analyse job postings, filter LinkedIn job listings, draft tailored CVs and cover letters, and pre-fill application forms using an AI model from Anthropic or OpenAI, whichever provider you configure. It is currently distributed free of charge.

3. What you bring

The extension needs your own API key from either Anthropic or OpenAI to do anything useful. That means:

• You must have your own account with Anthropic or OpenAI. Your use of their API is governed by their terms, not by these, see Anthropic's terms or OpenAI's terms.
• You pay for every API call the extension makes on your behalf. I do not see your bill and I do not subsidise it.
• You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. The key is stored as plain text in your browser's extension storage (see the Privacy Policy). Do not share screenshots or screen recordings that expose it, and rotate the key in your provider account if your machine is compromised.

4. What you promise

By using the extension, you agree that you will:

• Use it for your own job search and for lawful purposes.
• Not use it to spam employers, automate mass-submission, or otherwise abuse application channels.
• The tool is designed to rewrite your real CV for the specific role rather than invent qualifications, but AI output can drift. Review every generated draft before you send it. If you change generated text to claim things that are not true, you are solely responsible for that misrepresentation.
• Not reverse-engineer, repackage, or redistribute the extension for commercial gain without permission, except where such activity is permitted by mandatory law (for example, decompilation for interoperability under Directive 2009/24/EC).
• Comply with the terms of the job sites where you use it (LinkedIn, Lever, Greenhouse, Workday, Ashby, and so on). Their terms govern how their pages may be read and interacted with.

5. No warranty

The extension is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The AI-generated text may be inaccurate, off-tone, or unsuitable for a given role. Form auto-fill may fail or fill wrong fields on a page it cannot fully parse. Review everything before you submit it. You are the one applying for the job; the extension is a tool, not a representative.

I do not guarantee that the extension will be available, supported, or compatible with future Chrome or job-site changes. It may break at any time.

This Section does not exclude or limit any non-excludable statutory guarantees you have as a consumer under EU or Polish law.

6. No liability

Because the extension is provided free of charge, to the maximum extent permitted by law I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the extension, such as lost job opportunities, lost time, mistakes in generated content, or data loss. This limitation does not exclude liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Polish law and applicable EU consumer-protection rules.

6a. Ownership

Anything the extension generates from your inputs, including CV text, cover letters, and autofill answers, belongs to you. I claim no ownership of your generated outputs or of the source CV you provide. The extension's own code, design, and trademarks remain mine.

7. Tips

You can tip me through Ko-fi at ko-fi.com/dsvaryts. Tips are:

• Voluntary. They do not buy access, support, features, or any obligation on my part.
• Non-refundable on my side. Under Ko-fi's own terms, I cannot reverse a tip. If you believe a tip was made in error, contact Ko-fi directly; your bank's chargeback rights also remain available.
• Not a service contract. Receiving a tip does not create a customer relationship; the extension stays the same free tool regardless.

8. Termination

You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. I may discontinue the extension, change it, or stop publishing it at any time.

If I stop maintaining or distributing the extension, the version already installed in your browser may continue to function for some time, but I cannot guarantee for how long. Provider endpoints, job-site DOM changes, or Chrome itself can cause it to stop working at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be published at this URL and the Last updated date will change. Material changes will normally be flagged in the Chrome Web Store release notes for the version that introduces the change. If you do not agree to a change, you can uninstall the extension; the changes do not apply retroactively to your past use.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent Polish courts, except where mandatory EU consumer-protection rules give you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, or require proceedings against you to be brought there. This does not affect the consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Language. The authoritative version of these terms is the English text published at this URL.

11. Age

The extension is intended for users aged 16 and older. By using it, you confirm you are at least 16 years old. The extension does not verify age.
